Why should I have a Death Doula?
When we think of final journeys, we may wonder about end-of-life options. We may not even know that there are options.
There are a variety of ways a person can plan for their death and dying process. It's important to ask yourself key questions to get started. That's one reason we're here; we can help you consider ideas and plan for what you'd like to see when your end time nears.
There are various categories, such as:
-
legal paperwork (wills, trusts, etc. - consult with a notary, attorney, and/or financial planner; we can help you get started)
-
medical documents (DNRs and DNIs are common; consult with your medical doctor; we can provide resources)
-
funeral planning (you can set this up with the help of a funeral director; we can provide resources)
-
considering what YOU would like, such as where you'd like to end your days
-
family dynamics and conversations, tying up loose ends
-
your legacy - what you'd like to leave behind for loved ones
-
exploring what death means to you spiritually
We offer guidance and preparation for the journey towards the end of life. We help create a unique experience that embraces the natural process of dying, while providing a sense of peace and understanding.
